Julia Fox just proved that bigger is almost always better.
During an outing in New York City yesterday, the Uncut Gems star put forth her own maximalist take on the classic ’80s power suit by wearing a massive shorts iteration. The speckled light-gray suit featured a subtle black plaid print on the boxy single-breasted blazer and billowing culotte shorts. She layered the look over a crisp ivory button-down and pointed-toe knee-high stiletto boots in a luscious mocha brown. For good measure, she accessorized with a giant dark brown briefcase with a coordinating gigantic top handle.

Fox has had a fashion-filled week thus far.
Prior to her suit stint, she walked around the city in a daring black leather set, composed of studded corset and matching maxi skirt with a red distressed tint. She finished off the look with brown pointed-toe boots and a brown purse.

Then, on Thursday, the model headed to the set of daytime talk show Sherri in a frilly white set that channeled the coquette trend. This raw hem look featured a white bandeau top with off-the-shoulder puff sleeves, an exposed ruffle thong layered over a pair of bloomer capris with a smocked waist band, sheer mesh opera gloves, platform Mary Jane heels, and a heart-shaped bag.

Fox talked to the Cut in 2022 about her experimental sense of style. “[My publicity team was] like, ‘Oh, they’re a little too editorial,’‘It’s too sexy. It’s too provocative. It’s too out there,’” she shared, adding that her tune has since changed. “I was just like, ‘Okay, I guess I just have to be more Hollywood and more bland.’ But fuck that narrative if I want to pop out and wear crazy shit—which is what I want to wear.”
