Where are your campuses located?

We have campuses in Kansas City and Salina. We also partner with community colleges throughout the state. Learn more about each campus option.

When is your application deadline?

Application deadlines vary depending on the degree you apply for:

May I visit campus?

YES! We LOVE to show prospective students around. Getting a feel for our campus can be an important step in choosing the school that’s right for you. Schedule your visit.

How do I know if my classes transfer to KU School of Nursing? Can you evaluate my transcript?

To determine how your courses will transfer to the University of Kansas, please reference the CredTran Transfer Equivalency System.

We can evaluate transcripts, but we suggest exploring this feature on your own and reaching out if questions arise. If you have questions regarding a specific course, please email soninfo@kumc.edu for assistance.

What do I need to do to be a competitive applicant?

College grade point average (GPA), previous health care experience, demonstrated leadership skills, campus involvement, community service, and diversity of experiences are all as aspects that make our student applicants competitive!

What are the prerequisite courses required?

Prerequisite coursework varies by degree type. Please click on each link to read the prerequisite information that is specific to each degree.

Do I have to go to KU-Lawrence for my prerequisite classes?

No, prerequisite courses may be taken at any regionally accredited college or university.

What is the cost? Is nursing school affordable?

The cost of the KU Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is detailed in our School of Nursing Tuition and Fees Guide. This is an estimation of costs for programs based on tuition for the current academic year.

Scholarships are available as well. In fact, we award over $1.5M in scholarships across all programs yearly.

Does KU School of Nursing offer scholarships?

YES! We offer scholarships based on academic performance, financial need, special eligibility and more.

Scholarships are also available to people at all degree levels. Just complete one application for all School of Nursing scholarships. It’s pretty easy.
